Master your week
Welcome back! On this episode of Rosie’s Rituals we’re talking about how you can master each week with one simple weekly habit to make your life amazing!
At the time of writing (May 2026), I’m on maternity leave with my first baby and loving every second! I’m 5 months into my leave and the time has flown by so fast, it’s unbelievable! Time really does fly when you’re having fun and especially when raising a baby. Babies really do keep time measurements at the forefront of your mind.
Before I went off on maternity leave, I knew I wanted to create freedom for me and my family and use some of this time to start my own business and income source. I want to be able to travel wherever I want to, take time off to spend with my family when it suits me and as much as I like, and I want to be able to buy what I want. Let’s face it my charity sector marketing role isn’t going to be able to accommodate all the above, so I needed to make conscious change and take action to make this a reality for me. If you’d like to achieve similar things then here’s how I’m intentionally planning my weeks to make this possible.
Yearly goal setting
To make this dream possible and actually happen, each year I set goals for the year ahead and then ensure each week I’m taking actions towards my goals.
Every year during the ‘twixmas’ period I join Francesca Amber for her virtual annual goal setting party. She believes in the law of attraction and manifestation, partnered with aligned action to make your goals come into fruition. The goal setting party really did change my life. I first done it in December 2024 and I had the best year of my life so far in 2025. Let me know if you want to know more about my goals and what I achieved last year. Due to the success of 2025, I of course took part again to set my 2026 goals. Find out more about Fran’s work here. This can be a little ‘woo woo’, as Fran is a manifestation teacher, but most of the workshop is practical and reflective and definitely worth a try, I highly recommend it!
How to master each week
Every Sunday evening, I sit down and access the week ahead. I take time to look at mandatory plans (I.e. doctor appointments), Leisure (I.e. lunch dates), prepping for future plans (I.e. picking up birthday cards) and then I have space for my top three priority goals for the year ahead.
Having this all set out clearly in front of me in a beautiful planner, allows me to see clearly what the week ahead holds. It keeps me focused on my goals by devoting at least 2x actions per week to each of my goals. I try to build in an action every day where I can. This also shows me what days I have capacity to actually take these actions. For example, I wouldn’t put actions towards a goal on a day when I have lots on and I can clearly identify the days where I do have the time in a single glance. I start by jotting down all my mandatory plans, then add in actions towards my goals and the leisure. This way allows me to achieve success in each area of my life.
How to get the most out planning
I fill in the planner on my laptop so it’s nice and clear and being totally honest looks the most aesthetically pleasing and print it out. I then keep the planner on my fridge, so each morning I can see what the day holds or in the evening I can see what the plan is for the next day.
Keeping the planner on display in a place I will see it each day really keeps me on track with my week. It allows me to keep on top of life and achieve goals all at the same time. I strongly recommend having the planner on display for the best results.
I find it very motivating to tick off actions on the planner as I go through the week, it’s a constant reminder of the progress I’m making. If I smash through my actions quicker than expected, I add in more and it gets me even closer to my goals!
If plans change I simply just hand write on the sheet. I don’t bother to update and reprint and I’m saving paper this way too. Once I’m done with this tracker, I print the following week on the reverse to make the most of the sheet and then recycle it once finished.

5 steps to mastering your week
In summary, this is the tried and tested formula that works for me…
- Set goals for the year ahead
- Each week sit down and plan out your week, ensuring your top goals are at the forefront.
- Plan in at least 2x actions for your goals each week
- Print of the planner and display in an area you can easily see each day
- Repeat each week
